Unification of trans terms
There are about 10 different tags for trans people use when tagging interchangeably
trap, shemale, 1trans,transgender, futa, trans, crossdresser, ladyboy, sissy
Just make all off theese tags equivilent, this is made even worse by the ~ opertor being broken

There is a feature called aliases but first the alias must be accepted by the administrator so either this feature does not work or the admin does not approve them I guess

realbooru.com/index.php?page=alias&s=list

a crossdresser isn't necessarily trans, though.
Neither is a trap or a sissy. Crossdresser, trap and sissy are usually more or less the same, but neither of them have to be trans. I like crossdressing, but I don't have the idea that I was born in the wrong body. I just like it, that males with big cocks often enjoy fucking males in dresses.

Futa and trans isn't interchangeable either, since futas do not exist.

This.

A lot of it is just outdated terminology like shemale and trap which shouldn't be used.
Sissies and crossdressers aren't necessarily trans and ladyboys are a seperate thing entirely.
I don't see people complaining about solo_male and 1boy being used so I don't get why there's an issue with 1trans and the trans tags

I don't get where the confusion is coming from honestly. Trap = can easily pass as the opposite sex, but doesn't actually identify that way. It was never the same as being trans and was more akin to just crossdressing. This was well understood on literally every other booru site.

Stuff like "shemale" is just oudated terminology. Futa is a hentai thing.

There was no confusion here, until trolls started using a bunch of different (usually conflicting) tags to be offensive on purpose.

May I just ask, stop tagging trans girls as trap and femboys please. They are not the same thing

Serious questions regarding this.

How do I know what a particular image, or person in a video identifies as? I am sure most pictures and videos do not at all declare" say "I am trans?"

I looked around in the site and there are literally images and videos with "shemale" written all over them. If anything, I think those folks in those images/videos decided it is okay to be called those. Would that be so outdated if the source literally says "shemale" on the face of the image?

What if a person, in 2026, identifies as "shemale." Would the community here attack the person because it is an outdated term?

This is getting very complicated because we usually know what males and females are based on what they physically show on their bodies. Somehow, it is also visible for the classical "shemale". That's what we do in tagging: we describe what we see and then add it to the list. Do we now have to look into their mindset and figure out how they identified as? Not that we have to be psychologists but how do we do that when there is just an image of a person lewdly posing (or behaving)?

Can we really not just do something to the effect of "male_with_enlarged_boobs"? "flat_chested_female_with_boob_job_scar?"

Or should "trans" be a meta type of tag because it's not something the taggers would know without delving into the mindset of the person in the image?
